Welcome to our charming Gite du Clocher. It’s a 6 persons cottage in north Gironde, located just 11km from Blaye’s Citadel, a beautiful Unesco World Heritage Site. We are located in the heart of the Bordeaux vast wines region, Côte de Blaye where you will find world famous and delicious wine. There are many places to visit in the region including St Emilion/Médoc/Bordeaux city/La Rochelle. We are also just 45 minutes from the beach of Royan.

The cottage lies at the foot of the steeple of the church of Saint Romain Cartelègue, at the bottom of the impasse Saint Romain. The Gite Du Clocher is a newly refurbished 3 bedroomed stone building with many original features. Outside you will find a spacious terrace, table and chairs and BBQ surrounded by stone dwarf walls, lush lawn and the tinkling of the fountain overlooked by the XII church spire.
Inside, you will find everything you will need to ensure a pleasant stay. The property boasts a fully equipped open plan kitchen / dining area with large wood oak table and chairs, mezzanine / living room with large flat screen TV and wifi throughout. 3 goods sized double bedrooms (single beds to make twin rooms on request), 2 large bathrooms, one with bath/shower and the other offers a lovely large tiled walk-in shower with plenty of hot water !
The gite is fully equipped ready for your arrival including bedding and bathroom linen. Also for families with babies, we have a cot, highchair, child plates, cups and cutlery for your convenience. There is also a washing machine and tumble dryer. We invite you to look at the pictures on the page « Photos » of the website.
The position of the house guarantees you peace and tranquility. Even at the foot of the tower , you will hear the sound of bells one Sunday per month. Page of the website « Aux alentours » (around) tells you to make visits in a 20 km radius around the house . You will discover three richnesses of our region, heritage, estuary and the vineyard.
